When Sometimes The Treatment Feels Worse Than The Disease

When Sometimes The Treatment Feels Worse Than The Disease

The side effects of cancer treatment suck. There’s no getting around it.

Sure, not every woman will feel side effects – or at least all of them. But most women will feel at least some of these effects, some of the time. And when a lot of people have to deal with something, the silver lining to that cloud, is that both experts and sufferers can often come up with something that might help, like a remedy or some good advice or tips.

So guess what? We’re going to talk about those side effects and what you can do about them over the next month or so. We’re going to blog about them, give you some advice in words and pictures, point you to other resources when we can, and talk about them on social media.  We’ll showcase experts and what women like you – and maybe even you yourself – have to say. So watch this blog and our social media platforms. We want you to know you’re never alone, no matter what you’re going through!

Louisiana's Young Breast Cancer Survivor Network

Young women with breast cancer face unique issues. And in the South, there are more young women overall facing breast cancer. In Louisiana, young African-American women are significantly more likely to suffer from breast cancer.

That is why SurviveDAT is here. Part of the Gulf States Young Breast Cancer Survivor Network, SurviveDAT's mission is to help improve the quality of life for young breast cancer survivors, as well as their family and friends, by providing continuing resources and support.
